We are having the most delightful weekend with two of my husband's old college roommates and their wives. They all were in TCU together in the late 50s and early 60s. Even though we have not seen one couple much over the years, it is amazing for me to see the bond between the three men who are now in their seventies.
The shared stories of times when they were young and.had courage to try things that may not have been conventional but did accomplish the desired results were fun to hear. The times they rescued each other and stood up for what they believed in to help a friend in need as they developed their own character was so interesting to learn about.
Even though these three men have had different life experiences and have different political views there is a strong love that goes beyond anything else. It is so nice to see how reflecting on old times takes them back to a better time when they were young and carefree. It is rejuvenating for them and fun to be young again if only in their minds.
