Perspective

There is a quote by Abraham Lincoln that states, "We can complain because rose bushes have thorns or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses."  I love that statement and the idea that we have choices in how we view things in our lives.  Lincoln must have been an incredible man and a deep thinker. 

It is so interesting to think about how people many years ago still faced so many of the same problems we face today.  And even more intriguing to consider the profound thoughts about human kind that were true then and remain true today.  We each have the right to our own perspective and thoughts and those thoughts can change the way we go through our lives.  The simple idea of reframing the thorns on a rose bush to focus on the thorn bush that blooms a beautiful rose is a perfect example of the choices we are offered every day.
