Hold Hands and Be Kind

There is a lot of strife and sadness going on in the world right now. It seems like everyone I talk to has huge stresses in their life. We are noticing that systems that we depended on are breaking down and change is all about. I spoke to one of my spiritual advisors this week and he said that the world is going through a big shift. Some of the biggest changes are happening in our lifetime and clearing out the old ways that no longer work or as the Native Americans say, it no longer grows corn. There is a quickening of events so we are dealing with a lot of changes in a short amount of time. All of this moves us to a better place but the struggles to get there are challenging and difficult. It reminds me of visiting Yosemite and looking at the beauty of the mountains there. They were formed when the glaciers pushed through and broke the mountains apart. I can imagine the struggle but now we just see the beauty that is left behind. It is the same when a baby is born. The baby struggles to get through the birth canal and then you have a wonderful new life. I told a friend this week that we all just need to hold hands and love and support each other. Be kind to yourself and to those around you and before long we will find a new and beautiful space to enjoy.
