Priorities

There are things you want to do and things you need to do and things your heart tells you are the right things to do.  In our day to day lives we are faced with many choices.  Most of us who are working find that our work schedule dictates our choices most of the time and yet our work does not define who we really are.

This week my family is my priority.  Last week it was my work that was the priority and other times it is my friends or social network.  I call that balance.  How wonderful it is to be able to make that decision or choice based on what your heart tells you rather than your pocket book or what others expect.  I like the quote that says to everything there is a season, a time to live a time to die, a time to rejoice and a time to be sad. This is my version but it is fairly close to the original.  There is also a time to take care of yourself and a time to care for your friends, neighbors and family.

Every day in life is not the same.  One of the most important things in our lives is the freedom to make those choices and decide today what the priority is.  Do you need to focus on your health or do you need to spend time relaxing with nothing to do.  There is a time and season for all and if we desire to live our lives to the fullest we make time for all those things that are important in our lives but we don't try to do them all at the same time.  So today, set your priorities and be the best you can be.
