Spring

Yesterday I was out looking for new plants for my back yard.  The nurseries were a buzz with people out looking to bring new life to their gardens and with bees busy pollenating to assure that all the blossoms are healthy and vital.  It is so interesting to see the cycle of life come and go.  You can see the beautiful blossoms on the trees and bushes and then the hint of green meaning that warmer days are ahead.

This winter was the coldest in our area in many years so many plants did not survive the week of freezing temperatures.  I look out at my plants to see if they still have life in them or if they had such a hard time that they can't continue.   The jury is still out on many of them.  If we stop and pay attention, this is a normal cycle that happens over and over again in our world.  We complain because our plants die but to every thing there is a season.  A time to be born, a time to grow, a time to flourish and a time to die.

Many people worry that we are negatively affecting the eco-system but there have been many different eco-systems over milllions of years and the world is set up in a way that it constantly corrects or adapts.  Of course there have been civilizations of man that disappeared and are no longer exist in today's world.  The world still adapts.

I grew up in the mountains of New Mexico and remember how scared we were of the forest fires.  They would sweep through an area and many times acres of timber were destroyed by the fire.  The next spring we saw the brightest green new growth and the cycle of life began again.   So my words to you today are no matter what challenges you are facing, remember spring will come again.
